Supposedly where Icarus fell in the sea, the bay of Göcek is most likely one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean.
Packed with historical sights and things to do, the weather is also amazing (don’t I sound so English talking about the weather!)
Just one of the smaller bays set within the Göcek region is Tomb Bay (pictured below). So called because of the number of Lycian rock tombs set into the rock face, the whole area is situated in the middle of the Taurus mountains and the landscape is covered in pine and olive trees- making for an incredible aesthetic.
